Kiyokata’s Last Year’s in Kamakura

In 1945, Kaburaki Kiyokata moved Kamakura from Gotemba where he had evacuated from the air raids on Tokyo. He had continued creation in Kamakura calmly until he died in 1972.
In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the museum, this exhibition introduces his life and works in his last years.
